I agree as well that this is a great article, as they say there is no such thing as a free lunch! From time to time I have heard of local gov’ts offering various grants. Recently the City of Newport had a “facade grant” program where business’s could apply to recieve funds used to upgrade their storefronts. I don’t know the specifics, but usually these grants will offset only a portion of the actual costs. I have never ran across a grant program that gives money solely to “start up” a business.!
